There is, of course, lots to see for those who haven’t seen the show, as Essaouira offers a calm, high-walled city on the Atlantic coast with a wondrous medina and artistic atmosphere. See the ruins that inspired Jimi Hendrix to write his famous song “Castles Made of Sand,” before heading for dinner in a local restaurant and settling down for the night. Before you leave the next day, enjoy free time to explore the city.
