Samir was very kind, precise, punctual and super helpful. The trip was very pleasant and in my opinion the excursion has the right duration to visit the city.

I went on this trip with my partner- we're both from the United States and in our mid-20s. We met our driver in Marrakech and then met our guide, Mustapha, in Imlil. We sat for mint tea for a while and began hiking through the mountains and Berber villages, our guide made us lunch, we hiked some more and stayed at a Berber home for the night and had dinner. The next morning after breakfast we hiked back to Imlil to meet the van back to Marrakech. We hiked 6-10 miles each day. Wasn't too difficult of a hike but I'd recommend being in good shape. A mule carried our luggage and we were well fed. Sometimes we hiked very slowly and other times quickly, depending on our guide's pace. Be prepared to be patient. He was very welcoming and happy to answer any questions and we felt immersed in the Berber culture and mountain life. It was a cultural experience as much as a trekking experience. I'd recommend hiking shoes, a hat for the sun and maybe a light jacket. They gave us blankets at night.
We spent 2 great days with our guide and cook trekking through the Atlas. Abdul and Jamal were great compagnions and made sure this whole trip was a unique experience. Everything went really well! Hikes are a bit shorter than indicated if you're fit.

Beautiful hike. Travel by car to Merzouga very comfortable with a nice and attentive driver, who also speaks good English. Arrival at the tent by dromedary and return by car (requested by us). Very clean and well maintained tents. Congratulations to all the reception staff in the desert, who speak English, French and a little Italian.
